The aftermath of Banana

Nobody can deny our love for banana. Despite being in love with banana there are certain facts that banana can do for you. People says that you are what you eat so you should really know what kind of food that you are eating.

Today I will be sharing about the nutritional facts of banana. To begin with, I would say that you can be real good if you begin your day with a banana. This is because after waking up from a long sleep (a night sleep is a form of fasting too) the rate of muscle glycogen in our body will drop.

An expert in diet Matthew Kadey from MuscleMag said that, by eating a banana in the early morning as a breakfast this will cause your glycogen stores in your body boost up and avoid any muscle breakdown from occuring.

Glycogen is a main source of energy for our body, and it provides an all time prevention from breaking down protein in the muscle tissue as a replacement if your glycogen stores is low.

-Increasing Caloric Intake-
For your information, in muscle building, you have to eat more than you burn( of course good calories), because good calories will help enhancing body and muscle building. A banana contain around 121kcal. Banana is really easy to eat and it is also can be added into your smoothies or shake and etc.

-Additional Potassium-
You should be aware of your vitamins and minerals intake too! A medium-sized banana contained around 10% of daily potassium intake of your body. It also plays a big role in the process of muscle contraction.
A research from Linus Pauling Institute proved that low potassium intake may cause muscle stretch, fatigue and slow muscle development.

-A perfect post-workout-

Banana is a good source of carbohydrate as each of it contained around 31gram for a large-sized. Carbohydrate plays a crucial role to eat after your workout as it will increase glycogen rate and helps the merge of protein in your muscle tissue.
As a closure, "The Australian Institute of Sport" suggest that about 1 gram of carbohydrate for a kg of body. As a suggestion, a banana would be a good pair with red meat, protein shake or skim milk for an overall muscle growth development.
